INSTITUTIONAL PARTNERSHIPS MANAGER
AprendeTo Inc. · Full-time · Reports directly to the Founder & CEO
ABOUT APRENDETO
AprendeTo is not another EdTech product — it is a new education category. NetForm is the learning infrastructure and method; AprendeTo is the project and brand that brings this model to life. We are building behavioral learning infrastructure for the next billion users: two billion people across Latin America and Africa who have mobile internet and daily digital habits, but for whom no education system and no EdTech product has ever been built.
We do not teach theory — we change behavior. Learning is embedded directly into the daily content feed: 30–180 second voice-guided videos addressing real-life problems — income generation, health, financial literacy, safety. No exams, no grades; progress is measured by real-world action. The model is grounded in four years of field research in the Dominican Republic, where the first pilot is being prepared, and runs on the Learn → Apply → Repeat → Earn cycle.
Our work directly serves UN Sustainable Development Goals 4, 8 and 10. AprendeTo Inc. is a Delaware (US) corporation. Our conviction: access to personalized education must not be a luxury.
THE ROLE
We are looking for the person who will open AprendeTo's doors to the world of international institutions — and keep them open. You will build our institutional relations portfolio from zero: from the first outreach letter to a signed memorandum and grant agreement. This is not a support role — you will represent the project at decision-maker level and work directly with the Founder & CEO.
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
Your field covers institutions whose mission aligns with AprendeTo's work:
UN system: UNICEF, UNESCO, UNDP, ILO
Development finance institutions: World Bank Group, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB / IDB Lab), Global Partnership for Education (GPE), CAF — Development Bank of Latin America
Regional bodies: Organization of American States (OAS), SICA
EU and bilateral structures: EU Delegation to the Dominican Republic, EU development programmes, bilateral development agencies
Dominican Republic public sector: Ministry of Education (MINERD), INFOTEP, MESCYT
Private sector: telco foundations, corporate CSR/ESG funds, education philanthropy
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Build and maintain a prioritized institutional map, defining each institution's partnership potential: grants, co-financing, pilot programmes, endorsements
Lead outreach and official correspondence on behalf of the company in English and Spanish
Prepare concept notes, partnership proposals and grant applications aligned with each institution's formats and evaluation criteria
Represent AprendeTo in institutional meetings, conferences and working groups
Manage execution of signed partnerships: deadlines, deliverables, reporting without delays
Report regularly to the Founder & CEO on portfolio status, opportunities and risks
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE IN YEAR ONE
Approved institutional map within the first 30 days
Active engagement with at least 10 priority institutions within the first three months
At least 3 formalized collaborations (MoU, pilot programme or grant) within the first year
WHAT YOU BRING
3+ years of experience working with international organizations, development finance institutions or the public sector — on the institutional or partner side
A proven track record in securing grants or closing institutional partnerships
Solid understanding of the SDG framework, impact measurement and how the development sector operates
Excellent written communication in formal institutional style
Full professional fluency in English. Proficiency in Spanish will be considered an advantage.
Higher education in international relations, development studies, public policy or an equivalent field
Preferred: an existing network within the UN system, IDB or the World Bank; experience in the LATAM/Caribbean region; experience in EdTech or digital inclusion projects.
WHAT WE OFFER
The opportunity to build the institutional function from the ground up in a project whose scale is 2 billion people
Direct work with the Founder & CEO — no layers, no bureaucracy
A field of work spanning the UN system to development banks across three continents as the project grows
Competitive compensation with a performance component
HOW TO APPLY
· Send your CV and a cover letter in English — including one example of an institutional collaboration you closed or a grant you secured — to BeBrave@AprendeTo.com with the subject line "Institutional Partnerships Manager".

ABOUT THE COMPANY
THE ESSENCE OF THE ROLE
You are AprendeTo's executor in the Dominican Republic — the person who turns strategy into a working system on the ground. You build and lead the local team, launch content production, implement partnerships and establish the Patron network that becomes the platform's distribution engine. You work in direct tandem with the Founder & CEO and, day to day, with the Local Coordinator — who is on a first-name basis with the Dominican Republic and all its local nuances.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Phase 1 — Foundation: team and content (from day one)
Lead, motivate and inspire the local team: Local Coordinator, Videographer, Video Editor, Customer Service
Launch the content production pipeline: filming schedule, local presenters, monthly content calendar delivered without delays — content is the precondition for everything else
Together with the Local Coordinator, organize local people for filming across all regions
Phase 2 — Infrastructure: partnerships (in parallel, as soon as content is in production)
Implement the operational side of telco partnerships (Claro / Altice / Viva) within the decision framework set by the Founder & CEO
Implement the operational side of the Loteka / Bancas network partnership
Participate in institutional communication at the local and international level
Phase 3 — Distribution: the Patron network (before launch, once content and product are ready)
Recruit, select and train 20 Patrons across the DR (~1 per 0.5 million inhabitants)
Build the ambassador structure under each Patron
Maintain daily physical contact with the network
Phase 4 — Pilot: execution and growth
Lead network operations during the pilot: monthly KPI control of Patrons and ambassadors, zone growth
Ensure local processes comply with DR regulatory requirements in cooperation with the legal partner
Report regularly to the Founder & CEO on progress, risks and deviations
HOW WE WILL MEASURE SUCCESS
The content calendar is delivered without delays from the moment production launches
20 fully operational Patrons by platform launch
At least one telco and one bancas partnership operational during the pilot
Pilot targets: 100,000 MAU, ≥40% weekly retention, zone growth in line with the plan
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
A professional who understands the role of proper education in solving problems of any scale
3+ years of experience in operational management, building field teams or distribution networks (FMCG, telco, financial services, NGO field programmes or equivalent)
A proven ability to recruit, train and retain people in a distributed structure
Deep knowledge of the DR market, culture and regions — or a genuine drive to acquire it
Independence: the ability to lead without daily supervision and deliver real results
Spanish and English — fluent; Latvian and Russian — an additional advantage
Preferred: experience with low-income / mobile-first audiences; implementing partnerships with telcos or retail networks; an understanding of gamification or community economics.
WHO YOU ARE AS A PERSON
A results person, not a process person. Passionate, energetic and resilient in field work. Honest with yourself and with others. Able to inspire people and retain them through attitude, not just money.
WHAT WE OFFER
A key role in bringing a new category of education system to the world — launching its pilot from zero to 100,000 users
Direct collaboration with the Founder & CEO — no layers, no corporate bureaucracy
A real career trajectory: upon delivering the pilot KPIs — leading the AprendeTo rollout in the next LATAM country
Compensation: competitive base salary + performance bonuses upon KPI delivery (specified in the contract)
Contract structure: 3-month probationary contract; upon delivering the 3-month probation KPIs — a contract for the full Dominican Republic pilot; upon its successful completion — a long-term scaling contract for LATAM, then Africa
HOW TO APPLY
Send your CV together with your view on the traditional education system — and your vision of how you would improve or change it if you had the chance — to BeBrave@AprendeTo.com with the subject line "Country Executive Director".
